OG Anunoby’s Knicks dunk over brought great calls from Mike Breen, Ian Eagle

Ian Eagle described it as a “grown man’s jam” — and that it was.

OG Anunoby’s posterization of Joel Embiid rocked Wells Fargo Center late in the fourth quarter of the Knicks’ 118-115 series-clinching win over the 76ers on Thursday night and led to emphatic calls by MSG broadcaster Mike Breen and TNT’s Ian Eagle.

The one-handed slam put the Knicks 109-101 with 2:43 left in the game and was one of the signature moments of the night.

Anunoby got a pass outside the 3-point line from Donte DiVincenzo and then drove toward the basket, going airborne over the Sixers star for the dunk.

“Anunoby with a grown man’s jam!” Eagle exclaimed on the TNT broadcast.

“Anunoby drives and he throws it down, and the foul!” Breen called on MSG Network. “OG Anunoby with a chance for a 3-point play.”

While the game was far from over at that point, the play will remain a memorable one, and Knicks fans couldn’t help but take in the moment on social media.

“OG Anunoby with the John Starks dunk of 2024. That’d be on posters on the bedroom doors of New York teenagers everywhere, if kids still hung posters,” one person quipped on X

The Knicks advanced to the second round for the second consecutive year — the first time since they did so in 1999 and 2000.

They will face the Pacers in the next round of the playoffs.
