The Knicks got some good news on one of their key pieces.
Head coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters Thursday that OG Anunoby has been cleared to start working out on the court again.
Anunoby, 26, who had surgery earlier in February to remove a bone fragment in his right elbow, has not yet been cleared for contact.
The Knicks coach said Anunoby can, however, start to shoot, dribble and pass as he gets ready for a return to action.
Acquired by the Knicks from the Raptors right before the New Year, Anunoby has averaged 15.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in 14 games.
He has played since Jan. 27.
