NYC Man dead after plunging from Imperial House in Lenox Hill in apparent suicide

A 26-year-old man died Friday after plunging from a luxury Manhattan co-op in an apparent suicide, police said.

The young man was found in the rear courtyard of the Imperial House on East 69th Street off Lexington Avenue in Lenox Hill around 7:40 p.m.

He was suffering from “injuries indicative of falling from an elevated position,” according to the NYPD.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Imperial House is described as “among the finest, most desirable white glove co-operatives combining elegance and service” by realtors.

A two-bed, two-bathroom co-op sells for $1,900,000, while an additional bed and bath raises the price to a shocking $3,495,000, according to listings.

Late actress Joan Crawford called the Imperial House, then an apartment building, home from 1968 until her death in 1977.
