Netflix recently gave fans a first look at an exciting new rom-com headed to the streamer this spring.
Mother of the Bride stars Brooke Shields as Lana, whose daughter Emma (Miranda Cosgrove) reveals that she’s getting hitched in Thailand in only a month to RJ (Sean Teale)… who also happens to be the son of her estranged ex, Will (Benjamin Bratt), per People. Juicy, right?
The slew of celebs featured in the cast only is only extended by Chad Michael Murray as Lucas, Rachael Harris as Janice, Michael McDonald as Clay and Wilson Cruz as Scott, plus Tasneem Roc and Dalip Sondhi.
Cosgrove revealed to People that she and her castmates had the chance to “spend pretty much every day together” while shooting in Thailand for six weeks.
“And one of the special things about making the movie was — since we were so far away from home, all of us, and in a new place — I really feel like we all got to know each other pretty fast,” she told the outlet.
Directed by Mark Waters and written by Robin Bernheim, the film is described as a “nuptial slapstick comedy” by Netflix’s Tudum. What else do we know about Mother of the Bride? Read on to find out!
