Another one of Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr.’s brothers is facing legal troubles.
Jevon Porter was arrested on suspicion of DWI at 1:31 a.m. on April 27 in Boone County, Missouri, per Missouri State Highway Patrol records.
Porter, 20, was released on a summons.
The latest incident comes less than three weeks after another one of Michael Porter Jr.’s brothers, Coban, was sentenced to six years in prison for his involvement in a fatal car crash in January 2023 in Denver.
During his sentencing hearing, Coban, a former member of the Nuggets, admitted he was drunk when the crash occurred.
Jontay Porter, another one of Michael Porter Jr.’s siblings, was also banned for life from the NBA in April after he was found to have bet on games, influenced the outcome of bets and passed along confidential information to betters.
Jevon played two seasons as a forward for the men’s basketball team at Pepperdine and transferred to Loyola Marymount.
He averaged 16.2 points per game during his sophomore year at Pepperdine and shot 42.5 percent from the field.
“We are aware of recent reports in the media and are gathering information about the matter,” Loyola Marymount told ESPN in a statement.
Missouri State Sgt. Kyle Green told ESPN that Jevon was initially stopped for speeding before he was arrested for DWI.
Amid all of the issues his brothers are facing, Michael Porter Jr. has remained focused on the Nuggets’ pursuit of a second consecutive NBA title.
He has averaged 22.8 points per game while shooting 55.3 percent from the field.
The Nuggets eliminated the Lakers in five games and will face the Timberwolves in the second round.
