Man suffering from possible OD rolled to back of NYC pizzeria: sources

Two people were caught on camera pushing a man suffering from a possible overdose in a rolling office chair to the back of a Staten Island pizza shop, where he was found dead Sunday morning, law enforcement sources said.

And while the duo returned a short time later, it was only to retrieve the chair as the man, 32, laid face up on the ground, sources said.

Surveillance footage captured the depraved body dump around 2 a.m. on Sunday. The suspects were seen rolling the man from a nearby apartment on Van Riper Street to the pizza place on Port Richmond Avenue just around the corner and placing him on the ground, according to sources.

A worker at the pizzeria found the body when she opened up the shop around 6:15 a.m. He was declared dead at the scene, police said.

While bruising was found on the victim’s nose, it’s unclear if trauma happened after the man was already dead, sources said.

A roommate of the man told authorities he saw him ingest a powdery substance through his nose before he passed out, according to sources.

He then said he and another person brought the victim outside for some fresh air when he realized his roommate might be suffering from a drug overdose, sources said.

The roommate said he quickly fled from the apartment after he was scared he might get in trouble, sources said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, police said.

At least two individuals are being sought, sources said.
