Larry Allen, the Hall of Fame guard who won a Super Bowl with the Cowboys, died suddenly on Sunday while on vacation in Mexico with his family, the team announced.
He was 52.
“He was deeply loved and cared for by his wife Janelle — whom he referred to as his heart and soul, his daughters Jayla and Loriana and son Larry III,” the Cowboys said in a statement.
Allen, an 11-time Pro Bowler, played 12 seasons with the Cowboys before playing two years with the 49ers.
He retired before the 2009 season, signing a one-day contract with the Cowboys.
