Kim Porter’s father, Jake Porter, said he was “disgusted” by the video of his daughter’s ex Sean “Diddy” Combs abusing Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.
“You can say I was disgusted with the video, and I wouldn’t treat my enemy like that,” the 78-year-old told Rolling Stone.
“It was despicable. I couldn’t believe it. I was in Vietnam, and I wouldn’t do that to my enemy.”
Although Jake said he never witnessed the Bad Boy Records founder, 54, physically abuse Kim before her untimely death in November 2018, he said Combs’ actions towards Cassie made him “wonder” and that he now has a “different outlook” on the rap superstar.
“I didn’t know he could stoop that low,” he told the outlet. “I imagine it surprised a lot of people. I wouldn’t even do a dog like that. My heart goes out to Cassie.”
Kim welcomed son Christian, 26, and twin daughters Jesse and D’Lila, 16, with Combs in 1998 and 2006, respectively. She was also mom to son Quincy, 33, whom she shared with Al B. Sure. Combs adopted the “Brotherly Love” star when he was 3 years old.
Jake said although his daughter loved the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper, he claimed she “just couldn’t live with” him in the same house.
“I think he was a very jealous person. They both loved each other. Kim’s love was legitimate. Puffy’s love, I don’t know what he calls love, you know what I mean?” he told Rolling Stone.
“I really don’t think he has any idea what love is.”
Jake said his only concern now is his grandchildren.
Page Six has reached out to Combs’ rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
The model and Combs dated on and off from 1994 to 2007. Kim and the music producer called it quits due to his alleged infidelity.
Last month, disturbing video surveillance of Combs punching and kicking Cassie in a hotel in 2016 was released by CNN. The incident was detailed in the “Me & U” singer’s November 2023 lawsuit against Combs, in which she accused him of raping and abusing her during their 10-year relationship.
The exes settled the suit the next day.
The “Act Bad” rapper apologized for his actions in the hotel video, saying he was “disgusted” at himself for what he did.
None of Combs’ seven children have publicly spoken out about their dad’s legal woes.
The Sean John founder is currently facing six lawsuits, accusing him of a range of sexual misconduct and other illegal activity.
He has denied all allegations.
