Kim Kardashian paid tribute to her late aunt after Karen Houghton’s “unexpected” passing at age 65.
The reality star posted throwback photos via Instagram Thursday, writing, “🕊️I love you so much auntie Karen🕊️.”
In the sweet snaps, Kardashian, 43, held Houghton’s hand in front of the Christmas tree, sat with her on the couch and played with her by the pool.
“Auntie Karen ❤,” Kourtney Kardashian commented on the slideshow.
Kris Jenner revealed her sibling’s death in a lengthy social media upload Tuesday, one day after Houghton’s passing.
“It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly,” the talent manager wrote via Instagram.
“My heart aches for my mom MJ and my niece Natalie and I pray that God guides us all through this difficult time,” the 68-year-old continued. “Karen was beautiful inside and out.
“She was the sweetest, kindest, the most sensitive and vulnerable and so so funny. She always felt grateful and thankful for her life and treasured her family and friends and especially her beautiful daughter. She holds such a huge part of my heart and I cherish every single memory we have together.”
She concluded by reminding her followers that since “life is so short and precious and tomorrow is never promised … we must tell those we cherish how much we love them.”
Jenner’s lesser-known niece Natalie Zettel honored her late mom in her own post that same day.
The 26-year-old called Houghton her “best friend” and her “everything,” gushing, “I’m so grateful to have had a mother like you.”
Jenner, who reportedly had a rocky relationship with Houghton, was all smiles attending Kylie Jenner’s Sprinter vodka soda launch on Thursday in her first appearance since the tragedy.
