Kelsea Ballerini has no regrets.
The country singer, 30, took to TikTok on April 7 to address the people trolling her online for “forgetting her pants” during her performance at the 2024 CMT Music Awards.
The video starts with Ballerini in a black smock getting her hair and makeup touched up during the ceremony. “‘You forgot your pants for your performance’ — shut up. No I didn’t,” she started, mocking the haters commenting on her outfit.
“‘Where are your pants?’ Shut up. It looks hot. Period. Bye,” Ballerini said laughing before ending the 15-second video with the caption “😘.”
“The search bar ‘Kelsea Ballerini forgot pants,’” one user wrote. “😂 SLAY, our pantsless QUEEN. 👸.”
Another user chimed in, “Taylor swift does it no one says anything. You slayyyyed.”
Ballerini, who hosted the event this year, had a total of nine outfit changes throughout the entire show, including the glittering gold bodysuit she wore for a pre-taped performance of her single, “Love Me Like You Mean It.”
She paired the pantsless look with sheer black tights and heels, pulling her hair up into a high ponytail.
The star finished the look off with sultry eye makeup that matched the rock ‘n’ roll glam vibes of the bodysuit.
Among Ballerini’s outfits of the evening was a lacy red David Koma gown, which she wore on the red carpet while posing with boyfriend Chase Stokes and showing tons of PDA with the “Outer Banks” star.

She later slipped into several more looks; The “Penthouse” singer opened the show in a sparkling mesh Dolce & Gabbana long-sleeved dress with a black bra and panties underneath, followed by the pink cowboy Barbie outfit she wore for Halloween 2023 based on one of Margot Robbie’s costumes in the blockbuster movie.
The star also wore a glittering tank top and pants combination, yellow turtleneck gown with a high slit, an Alexandre Vauthier motorcycle jacket-inspired dress and a green feathered minidress.
Ballerini — who has hosted the country musical awards show for the past four years — was nominated for three awards, though she ultimately did not take any trophies home.
