Kelly Clarkson admits to using weight loss drug after shedding 60 pounds

Kelly Clarkson admitted she used a weight loss drug to transform her body.

While chatting with Whoopi Goldberg, 68, about her recent transformation with the help of the Type II diabetes weight loss drug Mounjaro, Clarkson admitted she’s dabbled with one of her own.

“I’ve lost a lot [of weight] as well,” she said on Monday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

“Mine is a different one than people assume but I ended up having to do that too because my blood work got so bad.”

While Clarkson, 42, denied using the celebrity favorite weight loss drug, Ozempic, she didn’t reveal the prescription she’s been taking.

“My doctor chased me for two years and I was like, ‘No, I’m afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems,’” the “Since You’ve Been Gone” songstress added.

“Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic — it’s not — it’s something else, but it’s something that aids in helping break down the sugar. Obviously, my body doesn’t do it right.”

Clarkson claimed she didn’t realize how overweight she was until she started losing some weight.

She recalled watching a video of herself and questioning, “Who the f–k is that?”

“My heaviest, I was 203 [pounds] and I’m 5 [foot] 3 and a half [inches tall],” the mom of two added. “It’s funny because people assume, ‘Oh she must have been miserable and depressed or whatever,’ and I was like, ‘No, I was not.’”

Goldberg — who previously admitted to using Mounjaro after weighing 300 pounds — agreed with Clarkson’s statement that their weight loss journey happened at a “gradual” pace.

While the “Stronger” singer hasn’t confirmed the amount of weight she’s lost, Extra TV reported she’s down 60 pounds.

In November 2023, she was accused of using Ozempic to slim down after she shared a snap of her trimmed-down figure on social media.

However, the hitmaker credited her success to diet and exercise, telling People in January, “I dropped weight because I’ve been listening to my doctor — a couple of years I didn’t.”

“And 90% of the time I’m really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I’m a Texas girl, so I like meat — sorry, vegetarians in the world!”

The “American Idol” alum — who lives in New York City — furthered she also walks around Manhattan and frequently partakes in infrared saunas and cold plunges.

That same month, Clarkson admitted she also received a pre-diabetes diagnosis before losing weight.
