Karol G’s private jet was forced to make an emergency landing in Los Angeles late Thursday after the cockpit began filling with smoke.
The aircraft carrying the “Provenza” singer and her entourage landed safely at Van Nuys Airport, ABC7 reported.
The aircraft took off from nearby Burbank Airport with 16 people on board but quickly turned around because of the scare.
The plane touched down around 9:00 p.m. local time.
Emergency personnel and vehicles greeted the aircraft, which featured the same barbed-wire heart that the reggaeton star has on her arm, and the passengers quickly disembarked.
Born Carolina Giraldo Navarro, Karol G was seen on the tarmac embracing one of her fellow passengers.
It’s unclear if the performer or anyone else on board sustained any injuries.
Reps for Karol G didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment, and she hasn’t publicly addressed the emergency on her social platforms.

In 2019, Karol G told Page Six that she was “super nervous” about the release of her sophomore album, “Ocean.”
“I want [listeners] to feel what I feel. I want to show people that I have different things … I want to be that Latina girl around the world with different kinds of music,” she said.
She went on to release her record-breaking album “Mañana Será Bonito” in February 2023, which made her the first female singer to top the Billboard 200 with a Spanish-language album.
