The 2024 NFL season will open with a showdown between two of the AFC’s biggest powerhouses.
Patrick Mahomes and the Super Bowl champion Chiefs will take on Lamar Jackson and the Ravens on Thursday, Sept. 5, at Arrowhead Stadium, the NFL announced Monday.
The Chiefs and Ravens most recently faced off in the AFC title game in January, when Kansas City topped Baltimore, 17-10, en route to a second straight Super Bowl berth.
Kansas City went on to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime, 25-22, to claim their third Super Bowl victory in five seasons.
Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. on NBC and Peacock.
