Justin Bieber’s mom, Pattie Mallette, is “so excited” to be a grandma.
Mallette, 49, shared a video on Instagram Thursday gushing about her new title just hours after her son and his wife, Hailey Bieber, announced they’re expecting their first child.
“So I have been waiting for this day and now that they have shared it I can finally celebrate with ya’ll,” Mallette said. “Oh my gosh, I’m going to be a grandma. Oh my goodness!”
She continued, “Justin and Hailey you are going to be the best parents ever and I am so excited. Oh my goodness. Praise God.”
The mother of one also congratulated the couple in the caption, telling fans her “heart is so full.”
“What an exciting new adventure,” she wrote. “Love you so much!”
The Biebers, who wed in 2018, announced their baby news on Thursday after recommitting their love to each other during a picturesque — and ultra-intimate — vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii.
Both Justin, 30, and Hailey, 27, shared photos and video from the ceremony, which was officiated by their close friend and pastor, Judah Smith.
Photos from the affair show the couple reading handwritten letters to one another, kissing, holding hands and hugging on a grassy hill.
At one point, the “Peaches” singer got behind the camera to take some Polaroids of the expecting model, who cradled her baby bump.
The Rhode founder looked beautiful in an off-the-shoulder white lace dress by Saint Laurent and a matching lace veil, which she tied around her head like a scarf.
Meanwhile, Justin — who is known to dress much more casually than his fashion-forward wife — sported a baseball hat, a fuzzy bomber jacket, and jeans.
Hailey is reportedly in her third trimester, meaning baby Bieber could be here by late summer.
The soon-to-be parents began their on-off relationship in 2016 and got engaged two years later.
Although the pair got their marriage certificate at a New York City courthouse in 2018, they ended up having a lavish South Carolina wedding the following year surrounded by their friends and family.
After years of combatting pregnancy rumors, Hailey told the Sunday Times in May 2023 that while she and Justin were ready to expand their family, she was “scared” to raise a child in the public eye.
“I literally cry about this all the time! I want kids so bad, but I get scared,” Hailey told the outlet.
“It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child. We can only do the best we can to raise them. As long as they feel loved and safe.”
