John Wayne Bobbitt says women cut off their partners’ penises out of ‘jealousy,’ unfulfilled ‘childhood dreams’ in response to grisly Colorado murder

John Wayne Bobbitt, the man who gained notoriety when his then-wife cut off his penis in 1993, said women attack genitals because they are distraught.

“When women do this it’s because of jealousy, rejection, abandonment or infidelity,” Bobbitt told The Post after learning about the case of a Colorado woman, Shenting Guo, who is accused of snipping off her lover’s penis and killing him.

“I think it has a lot to do with childhood dreams” being unfulfilled, Bobbitt mused.

Bobbitt, now 57, said his then-wife, Lorena, cut off his member with a sharp kitchen knife as he slept because she was devastated about him wanting a divorce.

“I basically ripped her heart out and she cut off my penis,” he said.

Bobbitt said he didn’t feel physical pain during the attack due to nerve damage from exposure to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune military training facility in the late 1980s.

But, he observed, Guo’s alleged victim “probably was in a lot of pain.”

Cops said Guo said told them she cut off his penis, WKRC News 12 reported. She stabbed him as they argued over her pregnancy and whether or not he was the father.

“She said she was not trying to kill him, but admitted to stabbing him because she was ‘so angry’,” the report said, citing a police affadavit.

Guo was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

For Bobbitt, when Lorena cut off his penis, “It was horrifying more than anything — emotionally. I thought Freddy Krueger did it,” he added, referencing the character from the “A Nightmare on Elm Street” horror film franchise that was popular at the time.

The Colorado woman was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Lorena was found not guilty by reason of temporary insanity and served a short time in a psychiatric hospital. She now goes by her maiden name, Gallo.

John Bobbitt, whose penis was later re-attached by doctors, had all of his toes amputated last month. He is part of a Camp Lejeune class action suit against the US government, which has accepted liability and set aside more than $1 billion to pay out the victims.
