Podcaster Joe Rogan on Monday endorsed former President Trump in the presidential race on the heels of an interview with billionaire Trump supporter Elon Musk.
Rogan promoted the interview with Musk on the social media platform X, saying the Tesla CEO “makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way.”
“For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump,” Rogan added.
Word traveled quickly to Trump, who was holding a rally with supporters in Pittsburgh at the time.
“It just came over the wires that Joe Rogan just endorsed me. Is that true? Thank you, Joe. That’s so nice. And he doesn’t do that,” Trump said.
Trump late last month sat down for an interview with Rogan, with the two talking for nearly three hours. The two discussed Trump’s plans for using tariffs and immigration, the existence of extraterrestrial life and Trump’s unproven claims of election fraud.
Rogan is one of the most popular and controversial media personalities in the country, with each of his episodes earning millions of downloads and often features conversations with top newsmakers. He is particularly popular with young men, who the Trump campaign has specifically targeted.
Rogan also interviewed with Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio). Rogan and Vice President Harris’s campaign had talks about a potential interview but ultimately could not agree to terms.
