The Jets now have three players heading to the Pro Bowl Games this week.
Edge rusher Jermaine Johnson was added Tuesday as a replacement for Khalil Mack of the Chargers.
Johnson had a strong second season.
He had 7.5 sacks with 11 tackles for loss and seven passes defensed, along with an interception that he returned for a touchdown.
Johnson will join teammates CB Sauce Gardner and DT Quinnen Williams this week in Orlando, Fla., for the Pro Bowl Games.
The Jets’ 2022 draft class keeps looking better.
Gardner and Johnson were first-round picks along with WR Garrett Wilson, who has posted back-to-back 1,000 yards seasons.
The team took RB Breece Hall in the second round, and he had 1,585 yards from scrimmage in 2023.
