Jennifer Lopez is getting into the holiday spirit despite her looming divorce from Ben Affleck.
The “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 55, told People how she plans to celebrate Christmas next month after breaking off her two-year marriage to the “Argo” actor, 52.
“It was a pretty intense year for me and I’m most looking forward to spending time with my kids and my family coming out from the East Coast,” she shared in the interview published Tuesday.
“The holidays are such a special time for us and they’ve always been since I was a little girl,” Lopez continued. “And I really look forward to those moments when I can be with my sisters and just relax and have fun and create new memories.”
The superstar’s family includes mom Guadalupe Rodriguez, sisters Lynda and Leslie Lopez, and her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Lopez, who spent the last two holiday seasons married to Affleck, said she’s looking at this year’s festivities as a chance to “slow down” and “enjoy” time with her loved ones.
“We don’t get to see each other all year,” she noted, “so we kind of catch up on what everybody’s doing and how life is. It’s just a beautiful time. I really enjoy it.”
Lopez further gushed about the holidays, “I love all of the decorations and the hot chocolate and the music and the food, and I’m one of those people who really tries to make it out of a storybook for my kids with all of those things. I’m a sucker for the holidays.”
The “Unstoppable” star also looked ahead to the new year and said that 2025, for her, “is about a deeper connection to myself and to God, making sure we’re checking with ourselves so we can be great for everybody that we love around us.”
“I’m also setting my sights on pushing my boundaries creatively and seeing where that takes me, whether that’s through acting or music or producing or expanding JLo Beauty,” she went on. “I want to continue challenging myself to evolve and to try new things while all the while being true to who I am and those that I love.”
Lopez filed to dissolve her union with Affleck in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Aug. 20, the two-year anniversary of the couple’s second wedding ceremony. She listed the date of separation as Apr. 26, 2024.
The “Shotgun Wedding” star is reportedly still living in her and Affleck’s $68 million Beverly Hills mansion that hit the market in July, but has yet to sell.
Affleck, meanwhile, bought a $20.5 million Los Angeles mansion over the summer.
An August report claimed Lopez isn’t comfortable living in their former marital home, because it’s “way too big for her and filled with too many memories as well.”
Lopez addressed her divorce from Affleck while speaking to Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine last month, admitting her “whole f—ing world exploded” after the A-listers ended their romance.
She also said that she wants to be single after her fourth divorce.
“I’m not looking for anybody, because everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f–king do when it’s just me flying on my own,” she explained.
Affleck, for his part, made a rare comment about Lopez recently while discussing their upcoming movie “Unstoppable.”
He told Entertainment Tonight that Lopez “is spectacular” in the film, which he produced, while she plays the mother of a one-legged athlete.
The exes filmed “Unstoppable” before they separated. Lopez attended the film’s world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, while Affleck did not.
