Jennifer Lopez isn’t getting loud about rumors.
The 54-year-old star got asked about her and Ben Affleck’s alleged marital issues while promoting her new Netflix movie “Atlas” on Wednesday.
“Is your divorce with Ben Affleck real? These rumors?” a reporter asked at the press conference in Mexico City. “What is the truth? What is the truth of the situation?”
Lopez looked displeased with the question as her co-star Simu Liu interjected to say, “Okay we’re not doing that.”
“Thank you so much guys, we really appreciate it. Thank you,” the Marvel star, 35, added to the crowd of press members.
Then, Lopez leaned forward in her chair and directly responded to the inquiring reporter.
“You know better than that,” she said.
Liu added: “C’mon, don’t come in with that energy, please.”
Lopez and Affleck, 51, have yet to publicly address the rumors that they’re divorcing.
After not being seen together for 47 days, the pair have made it a point to step out together several times amidst the rumors, including when they went to an event for one of their kids in Los Angeles on May 16.
However, Affleck did not join his wife for the “Atlas” premiere in LA on Monday night.
The “Dance Again” singer arrived at the red-carpet event all on her own, but she did have her wedding ring on.
The rumors about the couple started when Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala solo on May 6. Then, it was reported that Affleck is staying at a separate house from Lopez, who was seen house hunting without her husband.
On May 15, In Touch reported that Lopez and Affleck are in therapy to work on their issues.
“Ben believes in therapy, to a point, and is willing to be a good sport about participating with an open mind, even though he hates the whole humiliating process,” a source told the outlet.
A Page Six report from May 20 claimed that Affleck — who prefers the spotlight much less than his wife — has “come to his senses” about their failing marriage.
“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” the insider alleged about the “Argo” director. “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”
Lopez and Affleck were initially together from 2002 to 2004. They ended their engagement in January 2004 after delaying their wedding “due to the excessive media attention” that surrounded the couple at the time.
Following the breakup, they wen on to marry and have kids with other partners, before they reconciled in 2021. They married in July 2022 in Las Vegas after a three-month engagement and later staged a more elaborate ceremony in Georgia.
