Jaylen Brown added one more to his highlight tape.
The Celtics star brought the home crowd at TD Garden to its feet when he dunked over the Mavericks’ Daniel Gafford in one of the high points of Boston’s 107-89 blowout win in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Brown, dribbling the ball on the offensive end of the court with a little bit over 10 minutes left in the first half, got a screen before dribbling around Luka Doncic and going fast into the paint.
He leaped past a jumping Kyrie Irving before dropping the hammer down over Gafford, who failed to get the block down.
“Brown goes inside, oh what a slam from Jaylen Brown!” ESPN play-by-play announcer Mike Breen said on the call.
It was part of a huge night for Brown, who scored 22 points with six rebounds, three steals and three blocks, including memorable rejection against Irving in the third quarter that sent the Boston fans into a frenzy again.
Game 2 is on Sunday at 8 p.m. in Boston.
