Jason Derulo is the latest celeb to work out in street style.
The “Whatcha Say” singer, 34, was out in New York City on April 10 when he was stopped by TikToker Kate Mackz, who has gained internet fame for interviewing people on the street while challenging them to run a mile.
Derulo was approached by Mackz in the clip, who began by asking him the question she asks all her potential interviewees: “Hey, how many miles are you running today?”
The singer looked down at his outfit — which consisted of leather pants, a grey crew neck sweater, and $1,050 Dior sneakers — before replying “Definitely wasn’t planning on running any miles.”
He accessorized the outfit with a thick silver chain necklace and matching fitted hoop earrings.
“Well if you run one [mile] with me,” Mackz replied, “I’ll get you any pair of sneakers.”
Derulo got the ok from his bodyguards before joining Mackz on a jog through Manhattan, where he posed for pictures and danced with young fans along the way, with the security detail joining in the fun as well.
When asked what it’s like being such a generational celebrity, Derulo shared with Mackz how “blessed” he feels to live his “dream.”

“It’s really incredible,” Derulo answered while running. “When I was on tour and I would look out into the audience I would see grandmothers, grandfathers, and I just feel so blessed. You know a lot of people don’t get to do this this long and the fact that I get to live my dream, it’s a pretty incredible thing for real.”
Continuing his jog with bodyguards in tow, the “Ridin’ Solo” singer reminisced on the moment he knew he had made it in the music industry.
“I feel like I’ve had a lot of those. I call them the ‘pinch yourself moments,’” Derulo said. “My first song went to number one right and I was like that’s crazy.”
“From there, you know, I put my head down. It was like ‘What’s the next song?’” the singer continued. “I didn’t get a chance to smell the roses. And now it’s just about having a good time, having fun and enjoying the process.”
Fans were certainly enjoying the moment, flocking to the comments to remark on the outfit.
“The leather pants omg,” one person said while another believed the video was set up and demanded to know “how he decided leather pants was it.”
Derulo is in NYC promoting his new song with Michael Bublé, “Spicy Margarita,” and is likely still shopping for even more sneakers and flashy fashion, previously telling Page Six Style that he is into “bold and empowering” styles.
