Criticism of the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul bout came from all corners.
Saturday Night Live’s Michael Che and Colin Jost poked fun at the heavily anticipated fight — which Paul won via unanimous decision Friday night at AT&T Stadium — during their “Weekend Update” skit.
“Last night Jake Paul and Mike Tyson teamed up to defeat everyone watching,” Jost said.
Tyson, now 58 years old and fighting an officially sanctioned, professional bout for the first time in 19 years, failed to turn back the clock against the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer.
Tyson barely threw any punches after the first round — Paul threw 278 punches and landed 78 of them, compared to Tyson throwing 97 and landing just 18.
By the end of the bout, which aired on Netflix, fans booed both fighters for the lack of action.

Still, it was a massive box office success for Netflix.
The company announced that 60 million users tuned in during the main event.
Also, the gate (the amount of money generated from ticket sales) surpassed $17.8 million, the biggest boxing gate outside of Las Vegas in U.S. history, with 72,300 in attendance.
Tyson has since revealed that he “almost died” before the fight.
“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won,” Tyson, 58, wrote on X. “I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for.”
