It’s Friday, and you know what that means: a new episode of Fire Country.
According to the show’s synopsis, the CBS drama stars its co-creator and executive producer Max Thieriot as young convict Bode Leone, who, in pursuit of “redemption and a shortened prison sentence,” joins a “prison release firefighting program in Northern California.”
In fact, the series was actually inspired by “Thierot’s experiences growing up in Northern California fire country,” per the network’s description.
The cast also features Billy Burke, Diane Farr, Jordan Calloway, Jules Latimer, Kevin Alejandro and Stephanie Arcila.
Decider contributor Joel Keller urged people to STREAM IT in Decider’s Fire Country Season 1 review, and audience reception has appeared to sustain itself into the ongoing sophomore season — the series was renewed for the 2024-2025 season last month.
In a March 12 press release, the network cited the show as “averaging 9.21 million viewers in live 7-day multiplatform viewing” and “a top six series on Paramount+.”
Unfortunately, fans weren’t met with a new episode of Season 2 last Friday night. So, is Fire Country on tonight? Here’s what we know.
Is Fire Country new tonight?
Yes! A new episode titled “A Hail Mary” airs tonight (Friday, April 26) at 9/8c on CBS. The network teased the following synopsis: “The future of Three Rock is in jeopardy as public opinion of the camp grows increasingly negative.”
