Formula 1 Mercedes driver George Russell had a relaxing getaway with his girlfriend, Carmen Mundt, ahead of the Miami Grand Prix last weekend.
Page Six hears the couple jetted off to The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman and enjoyed water sports, soaked up the sun on the property’s beachfront daybeds and swam in the crystal-clear ocean.
Russell, 26, and the investor relations associate also lunched on the breathtaking Seven Mile Beach.
“Rested and ready 🏖️☀️ Thank you,” Russell captioned a carousel of Instagram photos from the trip.
Rooms at the five-star resort begin at $900-per-night depending on the time of year, but those options have garden views. To upgrade to an ocean view, guests must shell out a minimum of $1,069 per-night.
The most expensive option, the Seven South, is an 8,000-square-feet abode that can fit up to 18 people and occupies the top-floor wing of the resort’s Ocean Tower. However, we’re told the athlete and Mundt stayed in one of the property’s luxe suites, which start at $2,150 depending on size and view.
The trip served as a last hurrah for Russell, who went on to place eighth at the big race on Sunday, while his teammate Lewis Hamilton finished in sixth.
“We do have a few things coming in the short-term but nothing in the short-term that is going to transform us into race winners,” Russell shared post-race.
“So it is going to be painful for a few weeks. I think we have to accept that we are the fourth fastest-team.”
Despite the loss, Russell had Mundt by his side all weekend long. The part-time influencer shared a series of photos of herself enjoying the race at Hard Rock Stadium.
“Always a good time here 🇺🇸💙,” she captioned photos from the star-studded event.
The pair, who have been dating since 2020, live together in London.
