Heroes, zeros from Yankees’ Game 3 World Series loss: Walker Buehler silences Bombers

Heroes, zeros and the inside pitch from the Yankees’ 4-2 World Series Game 3 loss to the Dodgers on Monday night in The Bronx:

Hero

Zero

It wasn’t just that Clarke Schmidt was bad, but in getting just eight outs, he forced the Yankee bullpen to pitch 6 ¹/₃ innings.

Unsung hero

Freddie Freeman’s two-run shot off Schmidt in the first sent the Dodgers on their way to another win, and he’s now homered in five straight World Series games.
