Reality star Harry Jowsey has been diagnosed with skin cancer.
“There’s isn’t really an easy way to say this, but last week I went to a dermatologist just to get my skin checked and they found some skin cancer on me,” the “Too Hot to Handle” alum revealed in a TikTok video Friday.
Jowsey assured fans that “everything’s going to be okay” and said he wanted to share the news to encourage people to use sunscreen.
“Please wear it. Please go get your skin checked,” he urged his 5 million followers.
Jowsey, 26, reasoned that “you never know” what freckles and moles on the body may be cancerous and revealed his cancer had been on his shoulder for “a year or two.”
“I just wanna save and protect one of you guys out there, so go get your skin checked, wear your sunscreen and be a little bit more responsible because that’s what I gotta do now and it’s very scary,” he added, wrapping up his announcement.
The Netflix star was immediately supported by fans and fellow celebrities alike, including his former “Dancing With the Stars” partner, Rylee Arnold.
“So glad you’re okay 🫶🏼 sending all the love!!!” she wrote in the comments section of his post.
The pair was rumored to be dating after fans claimed they had undeniable chemistry on the dance competition show.
In November 2023, Jowsey fueled the speculation by gifting the pro dancer a $15,000 gold bracelet. However, it was never confirmed that they were more than friends.
“Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix, who appeared on the same season of “DWTS” with Jowsey, also left him a supportive message.
“melanoma siblings 💖 so scary but really glad you are ok and yes sunscreen so important and skin checks,” she penned, referencing her own skin cancer battle.
In 2018, Madix received a stage 1 melanoma diagnosis. She admitted in 2020 that she delayed getting her skin checked because she couldn’t afford to see a dermatologist.
Other stars who have been diagnosed with skin cancer include “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Teddi Mellencamp, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and model Christie Brinkley.
