Nets vs. Knicks pick
The two NYC NBA teams clash for the final time this season when the New York Knicks host the Brooklyn Nets tonight.
FanDuel Sportsbook is favoring the Knicks by 11.5 points. Even though New York played last night, it should still be able to handle a shorthanded Brooklyn team.
The Knicks have won four of their past five and have a real shot at the second seed in the Eastern Conference, since they trail the Milwaukee Bucks by just one game. They should be fully motivated to win tonight and they should have fairly fresh legs because their starters got rest late in their blowout win over the Celtics last night.
Jalen Brunson is having a marvelous season at 28.6 points per game and has a good supporting cast to help him out. And while Brunson may generate the star power, New York’s second-best defense in points allowed has been the foundation for this team. Unsurprisingly, the Knicks are 3-0 against the Nets this season, with two double-digit wins.
Brooklyn has some solid players, but his just hasn’t been its year. Cam Thomas has emerged as the team’s leading scorer, particularly in April where Mikal Bridges is scoring just 13.6 points per game in the month. It also looks like the Nets won’t have Cameron Johnson or Day’Ron Sharpe available tonight, and Dennis Schroder is listed as questionable.
