Former ‘Selling Sunset’ Star Christine Quinn’s Husband Booked For Assault With A Deadly Weapon After Reportedly Throwing Bag With Glass Bottle At Victim

Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn‘s husband, Christian Richard, was reportedly arrested for domestic violence.

The Los Angeles Police Department told Page Six that officers responded to a call for a domestic dispute in the Hollywood Hills area on Tuesday afternoon (March 19).

“The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim but hit the victim’s child, causing injury,” a public information officer told the outlet. “The child was seen by paramedics but not transported to hospital.”

However, a different source claimed the child — who was Quinn’s son — was taken to the emergency room in an ambulance later that same day. “Christine left the house and rode in the ambulance with her son,” the source said.

Richard — who was pictured being escorted by police in handcuffs and a robe — was ultimately booked for assault with a deadly weapon, which is a felony. According to Page Six, he remains in custody, where he’s being held on a $30,000 bail that has not yet been placed.

Decider has reached out to reps for Quinn, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

Quinn is one of the original cast members of Netflix‘s Selling Sunset. She joined the series during its debut season in 2019, before exiting the show ahead of Season 6 in 2022.

The real estate agent’s relationship with Richard was heavily documented in the series, including their December 2019 wedding. They welcomed their son, now two years old, in May 2021.

“Within the first hour of our quick-witted and fiery conversations, I immediately knew he was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with,” Quinn told Wedding Style Magazine in 2019. “He was tall, handsome, intelligent, and possessed every quality I was looking for in a husband.”

After she left the Oppenheim Group, Quinn and Richard founded their crypto-based brokerage RealOpen.

“I think that it was something that had been in the works for so long,” she said of her decision to leave Selling Sunset, per E! News. “You know, my husband and I have been working on RealOpen for so long, you know? It was a year and a half in the making. So in my mind, I was already checked out.”
