With one day to go in the NBA regular season, there are still too many playoff implications to keep track of.
But we do have a series to look forward to.
No matter what happens on Sunday, the Mavericks will take on the Clippers in the Western Conference 4-5 matchup.
It’s the third time the Luka Doncic-led Mavericks will play the Clippers in the postseason over the past five seasons, with Los Angeles coming out on top in each of the two previous series.
This time around, oddsmakers are expecting the series to be about as competitive as it can get.
The teams are just about even to win the series at BetMGM Sportsbook.
The Clippers are ever so slight favorites at -115 versus the Mavericks’ -105.
A long series is likely as well, according to BetMGM.
The over/under for total games in the series is set at 5.5, and the over is getting a ton of juice, sitting at -185.
The betting public has shown a lot of love for the Mavericks since the series was set.
Dallas opened at +115 to win the series before getting bet down to -105.
BetMGM’s John Ewing reported Friday afternoon that 96 percent of the money was on the Mavericks to come out on top.
While the series is dead even, it’s the Clippers that are seen by oddsmakers as the much more likely NBA Finals contenders.
