Donald Trump wins Pennsylvania, clinching 2024 presidential-election victory

ALLENTOWN and PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Republican Donald Trump has won Pennsylvania, the most coveted swing state of the 2024 election, clinching his return to the White House.

Trump leads his Democratic rival Vice President Kamala Harris in the critical Keystone State 51% to 48%, with 94% of votes counted, the Associated Press reports.

Pennsylvania gets 19 electoral votes, the most of all the seven swing states.

The Keystone State provided a number of the campaign’s most memorable moments.

Trump worked the fry machine at a McDonald’s in the state, hitting Harris for claiming she worked at a franchise when younger but not providing any proof.

And the picture of the ex-prez with a raised fist after would-be assassin Thomas Crooks shot him at a Butler, Pa., rally is likely the campaign’s top image.

It is the second time Trump has broken the blue wall in the state, which has historically backed Democrats in the race for the White House.

In 2016, the Keystone State backed the former president over Hillary Clinton. The commonwealth then flipped to Scranton native Joe Biden in 2020.

Trump and Biden’s respective victories in Pennsylvania brought both men more than 270 electoral votes — and sent them to the White House.

The former president cinched the battleground state after vowing to lower the historic levels of inflation and crack down on surging illegal immigration seen under the Biden-Harris administration.

Trump also promised to unleash the oil and gas industry and force China and other countries to move manufacturing to the US.

He also campaigned on ending wars in Ukraine and Gaza that erupted under the Biden-Harris administration, promising to resolve the spiraling conflicts by promoting peace through strength.
