Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy celebrated Scottie Scheffler’s Masters win with gusto in a video posted to his account on X.
Portnoy was likely as amped about Scheffler’s second career major championship victory as he was about cashing in on his bet that earned a $1.35 million payout after the world’s No. 1 golfer won the green jacket for the second time in three years.
In the video, Portnoy waved around a towel and shouted, “Bravo Scottie” before he started to clap.
“Guys I don’t think people realize what we are witnessing,” Portnoy wrote in a separate post that included a graphic with his recent winnings. “To come into #themasters as the world’s #1 and the hottest gambler on the planet. To have a bullseye on your forehead and still win with ease? We may never see a 4 month stretch like this again.”
Portnoy had placed a $300,000 bet on Scheffler to win at +450 odds, which followed his bet that won when UConn clinched a March Madness title.
He had already won $2.1 million off the UConn bet, according to his graphic, and combined with his winnings on Sunday, Portnoy has taken home a whopping $3.51 million across the span of seven days.

The bet could have been a dicey one for Portnoy, though.
There had been a chance that Scheffler could have withdrawn before the final round.
He had been set to step away from the tournament should his wife have gone into labor.
Scheffler finished the tournament shooting 11-under and became the fourth-youngest player to win multiple Masters.
