George Clooney is lending his voice to a new ad aimed at Christian men, urging them to vote for Vice President Harris.
The ad, released Wednesday by the progressive evangelical organization Vote Common Good, follows a group of men as they head into the voting booth, seemingly prepared to cast ballots for former President Trump.
“Come on boys, let’s make America great again,” one of the men tells the group.
“Before you cast your vote in this election, think about how it will impact the people you care about the most,” Clooney says in a voiceover.
One of the men then eyes his daughter and opts to vote for Harris, as Clooney tells viewers, “Remember, you can vote any way you want. And no one will ever know.”
“What happens in the booth, stays in the booth,” the “Ocean’s Eleven” star says in the ad.
In July, Clooney penned a New York Times op-ed that called on President Biden to end his reelection bid.
The Academy Award winner, a top Democratic fundraiser, backed Harris’s presidential bid in July, shortly after Biden exited the race.
“We’re all so excited to do whatever we can to support Vice President Harris in her historic quest,” Clooney said at the time.
Vote Common Good said Wednesday that its “provocative new ad” is meant to encourage “Christian men to think about how their votes will impact their children and cast ballots for Vice President Harris in the privacy of the voting booth.”
The Clooney-narrated spot comes days after Vote Common Good released a similar ad targeted towards Christian women and voiced by Julia Roberts.
The group said in a statement that the pair of ads are part of a “monthslong grassroots push across the country to listen to faith voters and bring them along on a journey to help them understand it’s OK for them to let concern for the common good, and not allegiance to a political party, determine how they vote.”
