Talk about some telling social media activity! Chrissy Teigen shocked her husband John Legend when she admitted to reconnecting with her ex-boyfriends on this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.
The beloved couple appeared on the hit daytime talk show to promote their new dog food brand Kismet. But before they got into the topic, they bonded with Drew Barrymore over their days of partying in New York City’s East Village.
“It was an amazing time for music,” Barrymore said. “My boyfriend at the time was Fabrizio Moretti and he was in a band called The Strokes. We were together for five years. We’re still friends. We just saw each other recently for lunch.”
Barrymore said it was “nice and healthy” to remain friends with exes, with Teigen revealing, “I just started reaching out to my old ex-boyfriends, actually.”
Legend’s eyes immediately widened as he turned to the audience and said, “Wow.” With Teigen busy laughing, Legend clarified, “She started connecting with high school friends. She’s talking about high school. It’s fine.”
Teigen added, “High school and middle school, truly. It’s just been wonderful.”
The model, who shares four children with Legend, is quickly becoming a mainstay at The Drew Barrymore Show. When she last appeared on the show back in January, she gushed over her husband.
“He is really as good and pure as you can imagine a man to be. He really is that good,” she said. “Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, is he so nice?’ I’m like, ‘Yes, he’s nice, he’s sweet, he’s kind. But he’s also brilliant.’ I hate saying all of this. But his levels of empathy for other people — he’s just like a sponge of kindness and goodness.”
She continued, “I’m a very anxious person, I get very nervous, I’m very tough on myself. So for someone to come in and be the calming force in all of that is really important.”
