Bride bans guests from wearing 5 different colors to her wedding, infuriating attendees: ‘I’m not going’

She’s seeing red over a bridezilla’s ban on color.

A Miami wedding guest has gone viral on X after slamming a bride for sending out a memo that ordered attendees not to wear five specific shades to her nuptials.

The guest, named Nicole, shared a screenshot of the instructions earlier this week, which clocked up more than 5 million views and whole lot of debate.

“Please do not wear these colors,” the order declared, before listing off the prohibited shades: white, light green, dusty pink, khaki and slate.

The bride explained that those colors were reserved only for specific guests at the wedding.

For instance, dusty pink was going to be worn by all bridesmaids, while the groomsmen would be wearing khaki.

Slate, meanwhile, was a color that could only be worn by family members.

Nicole was clearly enraged by the memo, writing on X: “I just received these instructions for wedding guest attire and I get the request not to wear white (only sort of though because it’s Miami and it’s hot and it’s an outdoor wedding) but the rest? Lol. Get out of here. I’m not going.”

The invitee has since switched her X account to private, but her complaint was widely re-shared on the social media site, sparking an array of responses.

Some said Nicole was being unreasonable by withdrawing her attendance at the wedding.

“I can’t imagine requesting something like this, but I’m sorry, you lose all credibility in the Critiquing Wedding Etiquette conversation when you say you don’t totally get the No White rule,” one detractor declared.

“I mean this request honestly seems really reasonable to me. That’s only four colors guests aren’t supposed to wear (I’m not counting white bc that’s a no-brainer), and the most obvious go-to, the little black dress, is still an option. There are so many colors still available,” a second said.

However, others sided with Nicole, saying the bride was out of order with her color requests.

“No khaki for men is frankly ridiculous. It’s a default suit color for a lot of men, it’s a warm weather outdoor wedding so it’s even more desirable, and absolutely no one cares if the groomsmen match with a guest if it’s a standard suit color,” a man declared.

Another claimed the instructions indicated that the bride would be too difficult to live with.

“I give the marriage 5 years tops,” they snarked.
