Bonus ‘Quiet On Set’ Episode “Breaking The Silence” Will Feature New Interview With Drake Bell And ‘All That’ Cast Members

A new episode of Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV will premiere on Investigation Discovery and stream on Max in the coming weeks.

The episode, titled “Breaking the Silence,” will feature Drake Bell and former All That stars Giovonnie Samuels, Bryan Hearne, and Shane Lyons. The former child actors will be sitting with journalist Soledad O’Brien for a candid discussion “about the industry, then and now,” per a press release shared with Decider. They will also be joined by Hearne’s mother, Tracey Brown.

“With ‘Breaking the Silence,’ we’re digging deeper into the crucial conversations the docuseries ignited and exploring the lingering questions left in their wake to provide further insight from the brave voices who’ve spoken out previously and those who are coming forward again,” Jason Sarlanis, president of TNT, TBS, TruTV, ID & HLN, Linear and Streaming, said in a statement included in the release.

The episode was recently greenlit following the docuseries’ massive success. The release from ID notes Quiet on Set had “the largest audience of an unscripted series since the launch of Max,” with over 16 million views.

The four-part docuseries premiered March 17, showing viewers the “dark side” of Nickelodeon during the late ’90s and early 2000s, when the likes of Bell, Amanda Bynes, and Miranda Cosgrove were leading a golden age of children’s programming.

A number of former Nickelodeon employees and child actors opened up about their experiences with the network, shedding light on an environment that allegedly fostered abuse, sexism and racism, specifically under creator Dan Schneider‘s leadership.

The doc also marked the first time Bell came forward about the abuse he suffered at the hands of former Nickelodeon employee Brian Peck while working on The Amanda Show and All That.

Per ID’s release, the bonus episode will be the first time some of these former co-stars have reunited since working together in the early 2000s.

“Breaking the Silence” will show the former child actors exploring “where the industry can go from here” now that the allegations and wrongdoing have been brought to light.

The new episode of Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV premieres on ID April 7 at 8/7c and will stream on Max.
