Comedian Bill Maher talked to “The View” cohosts about the upcoming 2024 election and said President Joe Biden is “cadaver-like” and presents “as old,” unlike former President Donald Trump.
During Maher’s appearance on Tuesday on the ABC talk show, cohost Joy Behar asked the host of “Real Time with Bill Maher” if he worried about influencing the election by speaking out against Biden running again for fear it could sway voters on the fence to pull the lever for Trump.
Maher told Behar that if he didn’t tell his audience what he really “thinks is true,” whether they like it or not, he would lose “all credibility” with them.
“Look, Biden just presents as old,” Maher told the cohosts. “It’s not really fair because he’s almost the same age, Trump is almost the same age as him. But Trump doesn’t present that way.”

“You look at somebody right away, you can kind of just sum them up,” he added. “We are not young, but we don’t present as old. Biden does. I saw him yesterday making that speech, I mean, I’m sorry, he’s cadaver-like.”
When Behar pushed Maher to agree that Biden’s “brain is good, he’s still great,” Maher replied that he’s been consistently calling for the president to get out of the race. “Because he’s just lost the faith of people.”

Maher then compared Biden staying in the race to the late-Supreme Court of the United States Justice Ruth-Bader Ginsberg’s refusal to retire under President Barack Obama’s presidency. He said she didn’t take the hint then, and instead, her death resulted in Trump being able to replace her seat with Conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett, noting that the court leans more Right than before.
“I said he’s going to be Ruth-Bader Biden, that’s the term I use,” Maher said. “I said Biden shouldn’t do that. But he’s Dracula. He’s crossed oceans of time to be here and he’s not going to give it up now.”
Previously on his HBO show, Maher called on the Democrats to swap out Biden before the election.
“[Biden] said I see myself as a bridge [in 2020]. I read that as one term. … Is it too late? And I don’t think it is,” Maher said. “Because I still think you can do it at the convention. … No one gives a f*** what you do at the convention. They’d be thrilled if you did it the day before the election.”
