I’m a hot sleeper. Don’t get me wrong, I love the feeling of slinking into a bed dressed in jersey or flannel, cozying up, and cocooning myself to sleep — but then, the heat creeps in. How we tested
Over the course of a week, I slept on these sheets night after night. After the week, I sent them to my regular wash-and-fold service and they were returned in like-new condition — no pilling, shrinking or otherwise warping. While sleeping, I tested these sheets dressed to varying degrees to determine how they perform best and for what kind of sleeper. Whether in the buff or in full cashmere sweats, my temperature was regulated and I woke up comfortable and dry. Atop these sheets was a medium-weight comforter and, at the foot of the bed, a lightweight blanket.
The verdict
Softness? Unparalleled. Initial coziness? Unmatched. Quality? Exceptional. Could I have finally found the ones? Night one became night two, night two became the next day, and not only was I astoundingly rested but I woke up…dry.
Perhaps it’s TMI, but sleeping hot usually means sweat for me. I’d almost gotten used to, however frustrating it was, waking up in PJs that were slightly damp and had to be washed after a single wear. Not this time.
As it turns out, I got my condition (if you will) from my mom. She, too, loves a warm and cozy bed at first, but it doesn’t love her come midnight. And guess what’s right around the corner? Mother’s Day is coming, and I’m happy to say I’ve landed on her perfect gift early.
