Attilio Brillembourg, NY man tied to European royalty, reported missing

A man with ties to European royalty has been listed as a missing person after last being seen over the weekend in Malibu, Calif.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office has launched a search for Attilio Brillembourg who was at one time the stepfather of Princess Tatiana of Greece and Denmark, ABC7 reports.

Brillembourg, 53, was last spotted in a luxury neighborhood near Escondido Falls at around 1:10 a.m. on Saturday.

In the missing persons alert, authorities said Brillembourg stands at 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighs 165 pounds.

He has gray hair, green eyes and a tattoo on his upper thigh. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, gray pants and no shoes.

“There is concern for Mr. Brillembourg’s well-being,” the sheriff’s department said.

Brillembourg is the stepfather of Princess Tatiana, member of the Greek and Danish royal families.

The LASD says Brillembourg no longer has ties to the family. The Post has reached out to Princess Tatiana’s office for comment.

The Princess is known as an entrepreneur, author and philanthropist.

Last month, the 43-year-old royal and her husband Prince Nikolaos, who tied the knot in 2010, announced that they were divorcing after 14 years of marriage.

Prince Nikolaos is the son of Constantine II, who was the King of Greece until the country’s monarchy was abolished in 1973.

Despite the divorce, Tatiana has retained her royal title.

“We wish to inform you of a significant and heartfelt decision made by TRH Prince Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana. After fourteen years of marriage, they have chosen to amicably dissolve their union,” the pair said in a statement last month.

“This decision was reached with great care and mutual respect, reflecting the depth of their appreciation for one another and the moments they have shared.”

“Their future interactions will continue to be guided by these same principles of respect and understanding, as they transition into a relationship rooted in a strong friendship. They will continue to live and build their lives in Greece, a place they both call home. The Family will always support them,” they added.
