How Travis Kelce supported Taylor Swift’s record-making Grammys 2024 night

He might be miles away but Travis Kelce made sure he was the chief supporter in Taylor Swift’s corner at the Grammy Awards 2024.

The 34-year-old Chiefs running back made sure to like a post by NPR on Instagram featuring the singer-songwriter posing on the red carpet.

Swift, 34, looked absolutely stunning at the ceremony, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, while wearing a white Schiaparelli gown and a custom made Lorraine Schwartz vintage watch that was turned into a choker set to midnight in honor of her nominated album.

The caption read, “Check out some of this year’s most memorable red carpet looks from the 66th annual Grammy Awards. Taylor Swift, Janelle Monae, Miley Cyrus and Jon Batiste are some of the celebrities that hit the red carpet.”

Swift made history tonight when she became the first-ever artist to win four Album of the Year awards after her historic win for “Midnights.”

“I would love to tell you that this is the best moment in my life,” Swift told boisterous crowd. “But I feel this happy when I finished a song or when I cracked the code to a bridge that I love or when I’m shot-listing a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers or my band or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show.”

The pop star received six nominations this year for her album “Midnights,” which was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year.

Her track “Anti-Hero” was nominated for Song Of The Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance.

The “Bad Blood” singer was also nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for her song “Karma.”

While many fans speculated whether Swift’s current beau, NFL star Travis Kelce, would be in attendance to support the singer after she cheered him on at the AFC Championship, the Chiefs tight end put those rumors to rest last week.

On Wednesday, Kelce appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show,” where he said, “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys, and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for.”

Then, Kelce jokingly added, “But I think I’ve got practice on Sunday.”

Kelce is currently in Las Vegas, focused on the Kansas City Chiefs’ quest for back-to-back Super Bowl wins.

After the ceremony ends tonight, Swift is scheduled to travel to Tokyo for the next leg of her Eras Tour.

Swift, will be performing on Feb. 10, the night before the Super Bowl in Vegas, which has a 17-hour time difference from Tokyo, but she will be able to make it to the big game in time according to the Japanese embassy in Washington who released a statement to reassure the public of this very fact.

“Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins,” a post on the embassy’s account on X, formerly Twitter, read.

“We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so we wanted to confirm that anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red.”

Super Bowl LVIII kicks off on Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
