‘SNL’ star Chloe Fineman claims Elon Musk made her cry while hosting the show

Chloe Fineman claims Elon Musk made her cry when he hosted “Saturday Night Live” back in 2021.

The comedian recalled the allegedly tense interaction in a since-deleted TikTok shared Monday, shortly after the X founder blasted the sketch comedy show on his social media platform.

“I was like, ‘I’m not gonna say anything,’ but I’m like, ’No, if you’re gonna go on your platform and be rude, guess what? You made I, Chloe Fineman, burst into tears because I stayed up all night writing this sketch,’” Fineman, 36, said in the clip.

Fineman explained that she was “so excited” when she learned Musk, 53, was guest-starring on the show and remembered going up to him at one point to see if he had any questions before the live broadcast.

“You stared at me like you were firing me from Tesla and were like, ‘It’s not funny,’” she claimed of their interaction. “I waited for you to be like, ‘Haha, JK.’ No. Then you started pawing through my script, like flipping each page being like, ‘I didn’t laugh. I didn’t laugh once, not one time.’”

The “SNL” star did not disclose which skit Musk had ripped into. However, she noted that it did end up making it into the show and it “was fine.”

“I actually had a really good time and I thought you were really funny in it, but, you know, have a little manners here, sir,” she added, addressing Musk directly.

Fineman — who ended up deleting the video — admitted that she’s been wanting to speak out after seeing articles about the SpaceX founder “being butt-hurt about ‘SNL’ and his impression.”

On Tuesday, the controversial tech tycoon finally responded to Fineman’s allegations via his X platform.

“Frankly, it was only on the Thursday before the Saturday that ANY of the sketches generated laughs. I was worried,” Musk wrote.

“I was like damn my SNL appearance is going to be so f–king unfunny that it will make a crackhead sober!! But then it worked out in the end 😮‍💨,” he added.

The multi-billionaire initially dragged the long-running NBC program while responding to an X user who questioned the content of this past Saturday’s “SNL” episode about Donald Trump winning the 2024 presidential election against Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Is this funny to anyone? This is the SNL election skit,” the netizen wrote over the weekend, prompting Musk to respond, “SNL has been dying slowly for years, as they become increasingly out of touch with reality.”

Musk, an avid Donald Trump supporter, continued, “Their last-ditch effort to cheat the equal airtime requirements and prop up Kamala before the election only helped sink her campaign further. @nbcsnl.”

Fineman isn’t the only “SNL” star who has accused Musk of having a bad attitude on set, however.

While appearing on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Bowen Yang claimed that Musk made “multiple cast members cry” when he hosted the sketch comedy series.

Yang echoed Fineman’s recent allegations, claiming Musk “hated the ideas” that the writers came up with.

“SNL” castmembers were reportedly up in arms about the Tesla CEO serving as host at the time — with Yang being one of the outspoken critics. Aidy Bryant also made a dig at Musk.

However, Musk told Page Six exclusively that the rumored feuding behind the scenes was “much ado about nothing” and that everyone was getting along.
