‘Republican’ Host Of ‘The View’ Admits To Fawning Cohosts She Voted Kamala

Alyssa Farah Griffin announced to her fawning cohosts on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday that, for the first time in her life, she had voted for a Democrat in a presidential election.

Griffin worked in former President Donald Trump’s White House but exited quickly in the aftermath of the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill — and despite still claiming to be a Republican, she has spent a fair amount of her time on the ABC midday talk show attacking Trump and any other elected Republican who stands with him.

On Tuesday, as Americans went to the polls to choose between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, Griffin admitted that she’d crossed party lines to vote for Harris.

Cohost Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the conversation by asking Griffin how she felt about the election, and Griffin said she was “anxious but hopeful.”

“I’ve been — four years ago today, I was in the White House with Donald Trump on Election Night. I was there standing next to one of his cabinet officials when Arizona was called for Joe Biden and when it became increasingly clear that he was gonna lose,” she said, adding that she had believed he “deserved to lose” and had hoped that Republicans would spend the next four years “rebuilding” but without Trump. When that didn’t happen, she admitted, “For the first time in my life, I voted for a Democrat. I voted for Kamala Harris.”

Sara Haines responded to Griffin’s admission, saying, “I think that is a big move for you as someone who has been a Republican for your whole life … I think of it less as voting for a Democrat and more for you voting for a democracy … so I commend you for that.”

Goldberg wrapped up the segment, lashing out at Trump voters and claiming that they no longer had the right to speak because she was tired of listening to them complain about what their kids might be taught in schools — despite the fact that what they have been fighting against has primarily been gender ideology and pornographic materials accessible to preschoolers and elementary-aged students.

“I don’t want to hear any more parents out there nervous about what their children are being taught, frightened by drag queens reading books to your kids,” she complained. “I don’t want to hear from you anymore!”
