Nothing makes for a more beautiful day than Mister Rogers on demand. Pluto TV recently launched a channel dedicated to Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, streaming 24/7. The channel is free and available both live and on demand.
Currently, the Pluto channel features episodes from Seasons 23, 25, and 26 of the show. Eventually, the channel will feature more than 390 episodes of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Digital Trends reports. The show ran from 1968 to 2001, and altogether produced 895 episodes over 31 seasons.
Pluto TV announced the channel via their X account on Monday (June 10).
“Won’t you be my neighbor? The 24/7 Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood channel is now streaming for free on Pluto TV!” their tweet announced.
The replies under the post made it clear that Mister Rogers’ positive impact has expanded far and wide across generations.
“Truly…thank you, thank you so much for this,” one user wrote.
Another shared, “Thank you for this! America needs Mister Rogers more than ever.”
The show joins multiple 24/7 channels Pluto offers, including their most recently added 24/7 Garfield and Friends channel and 24/7 Universal Monsters channel.
Mister Rogers, hosted by Fred Rogers, began as a kid’s show aimed at preschool-aged children. The goal of the show was to teach them life lessons, most famously to be kind to their neighbors.
Rogers once told CNN he got into the TV business because he “hated it so.”
“I thought, ‘There’s some way of using this fabulous instrument to nurture those who would watch and listen.’ … The whole idea is to look at the television camera and present as much love as you possibly could to a person who might feel that he or she needs it,”he said in a 1999 interview.
And nurture he did.
Sadly, Rogers died in 2003 after a battle with stomach cancer. Fortunately, his memory lives on in the life lessons he taught to so many, and now, through the ones he will teach to a new generation on Pluto TV’s unlimited channel.
