Sarah Hyland’s ex Matt Prokop has been arrested in Victoria, Texas, after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.
Victoria PD responded to a call on Saturday after Prokop’s girlfriend reportedly told someone that the former child star, 33, assaulted her.
According to TMZ, police say the pair were gone by the time first responders arrived on the scene.
Police eventually found the couple an hour later when they responded to a call regarding another disturbance somewhere else in Victoria.
Victoria PD Sergeant Dailey told the outlet police were informed during their investigation that Prokop had allegedly pushed his girlfriend and slammed her head into something.
Authorities also shared that the unnamed girlfriend sustained enough injuries to warrant an arrest.
Page Six reached out to both the Victoria PD and Prokop’s rep but did not immediately hear back.
Prokop, who previously rose to fame with appearances on “The Office” and children’s programming like “Hannah Montana” and “High School Musical 3,” was also once the subject of a restraining order for allegedly abusing Hyland.
In September 2014, the “Modern Family” actress, also 33, filed for a temporary restraining order against Prokop after alleging he choked and threatened her life.
According to court documents, Hyland told authorities: “His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak. I was scared and in fear for my life.”
Prokop was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the former “Love Island USA” host and her dog.
The following month, Hyland opened up about the incident, revealing how she had moved on with her life after dealing with Prokop’s alleged abuse.
“There are two quotes that I want to say,” she said at the time. “One is a Dylan Thomas poem: ‘Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light,’ which is one of my favorite poems. It just strikes a chord in me. And then also Robert Frost: ‘The only way out is through.’”
She added: “People have to go through things in order to become the person they are today, and that’s that.”
Hyland has since moved on with “Bachelor in Paradise” bartender Wells Adams, whom she married at Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, Calif., in August 2022.
Adams, 40, popped the question in July 2019 after the couple had been dating for two years.
