David Cameron rips BBC for not calling Hamas terrorists

British Foreign Secretary David Cameron blasted national broadcaster the BBC live on air for refusing to label Hamas as terrorists despite the long list of “inhuman” atrocities it committed against Israel.

“When you see what Hamas are prepared to do, you just realize the terrible, dreadful, inhuman people, frankly, that we are dealing with,” the senior cabinet member said during a live appearance Sunday.

The former prime minister called it “a moment” for the license-fee-funded broadcaster to question its own widely condemned decision not to bluntly call Hamas “a terrorist organization”terrorists.”

United Kingdom Foreign Secretary David Cameron urged the BBC to call Hamas terrorists in an interview Sunday. BBC

“If you kidnap grandmothers, if you kidnap babies, you rape people, you shoot children in front of their parents, what more do they need to do for the BBC to say, ‘Look, these are terrorists?’” Cameron said of just some of the atrocities committed on Oct. 7.

“They are terrorists.”

Cameron lashed out at the BBC while discussing a newly released video of British-Israeli hostage Nadav Popplewell with a black eye. His cowardly kindappers claim he was killed in an Israeli airstrike.

Nadav Popplewell
Cameron’s comments come as BBC aired a video of British-Israeli hostage Nadav Popplewell with a black eye.

Cameron, who was British Prime Minister from 2010 to 2016, said he spoke with Popplewell’s family before calling out Hamas’ actions.

“Like everyone else, I watched the video on Twitter, X, last night, put out by Hamas of Nadav answering a question as to who he was. And I watched that video and you just think, what callous people they are to do that, to play with the family’s emotions in that way,” he said.
