Maya Rudolph transforms into Beyonce for ‘Hot Ones’ on ‘SNL’

Maya Rudolph has the Beyhive buzzing.

The comedian, 51, hosted “Saturday Night Live” last night and reprised her role as Beyoncé for another hilarious “Hot Ones” sketch.

Rudolph and Mikey Day, who played Sean Evans, parodied the popular YouTube show that features celebrities being interviewed while eating spicy chicken wings.

“Howdy Sean Evans,” Rudolph said while dressed as the “Cowboy Carter” version of Beyoncé, 42. “It’s a pleasure for you to have me.”

Rudolph delivered various epic jokes as Queen B, including telling Day, 44, that he’s “the whitest man I have ever seen.”

She also used country puns as an ode to Beyoncé’s brilliant new album.

After trying the first two wings, Rudolph struggled to compose herself and answer any of Day’s questions.

“I’m so sorry. My bones are still on fire,” Rudolph said.

Later in the segment, Rudolph couldn’t spill the tea on “Act III” of Bey’s “Renaissance” trilogy because she was dying over the wings. So, she grabbed a cup of milk and poured it all over Day, telling him, “You need to kill yourself, Gollum.”

Rudolph then summoned her assistant, played by Kenan Thompson, to help her deal with the spicy wings.

Thompson, 46, put lotion in Rudolph’s mouth to cool her off.

“It’s not working!” Rudolph screamed. “Why can’t I slay this? Why is this janky hot wing show the one thing Beyoncé cannot do?”

Fed up with the hot wings interview, Rudolph left and Thompson sat in the interview chair to field the rest of Day’s questions.

Rudolph also channeled Beyoncé for her monologue that featured a song called “Mother” for Mother’s Day.

After the episode aired, fans praised Rudolph’s hosting gig on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Did Maya Rudolph just win another Emmy for hosting #SNL’s Mother’s Day episode??? one fan wrote.

Another fan said, “We got a sequel to Bey on Hot Ones,” with a happy crying emoji and a heart emoji.

A third fan tweeted that Rudolph’s Beyoncé skit was “hilarious” and they “gut-chuckled” watching it.

The “Loot” star previously played the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer for a “Hot Wings” spoof on “SNL” in March 2021, where she similarly struggled to eat the wings.

Rudolph has been a fan of Beyoncé for years. In 2019, she gushed overseeing the superstar’s Coachella set on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

“I saw Beychella…I saw it both weekends,” Rudolph said after Bey headlined the musical festival in 2018. “It was the craziest thing… it changed my life,” she added. “We all witnessed something that had never been done, that was made with love, that was made with beauty, that was made with pride.”
