Hamas Fires Rocket At Children’s Playground In Israel

A rocket fired by Hamas terrorists from inside Rafah landed in the middle of a children’s playground inside Israel this week, seven months after the terrorist group launched their unprecedented massacre on October 7.

A total of 14 rockets were launched at Beersheba on Friday, the first time the town has faced rocket alerts in five months, The Jerusalem Post reported.

The IDF located two launch sites inside Rafah and destroyed both of them. During the strike, secondary explosions were detected, indicating the presence of additional weapons and munitions.

“The locations of the launch posts further show how Hamas intentionally embeds itself in close proximity to civilian population and infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip,” an IDF spokesperson said.

The IDF published a video that showed how one of the rockets that was fired landed in the middle of a playground and its explosion sent shrapnel flying everywhere. Fortunately, there were no children present when the rocket hit, although one middle-aged woman was reportedly hit by the shrapnel and suffered minor injuries.

Medics from Magen David Adom (MDA) said, “we arrived at the scene with many personnel, we saw a lot of commotion and damage to the playground, and nearby, was a 37-year-old woman who was fully conscious and suffered from a shrapnel wound to her leg.”
