Justin Bieber’s mom had to clarify how many babies her son and daughter-in-law are having after sparking rumors that they could be expecting twins.
After the Rhode founder’s dad, Stephen Baldwin, reposted the couple’s maternity photo shoots on Thursday, Pattie Mallette responded, “Congratulations Grandpa! WE ARE GONNA HAVE THE CUTEST GRAND-BABIES EVER!”
The pluralization of “grand-babies” created a frenzy among Beliebers, prompting Mallette to clarify Hailey, 27, is pregnant with just one.
“No not twins lol I wish,” she wrote on the post. “I just mean in general. Hopefully they will have more than one eventually. They will make beautiful babies whenever they have them. One is enough for now.”
Mallette, 49, couldn’t wait to share the news after having waited “for this day.”
“Oh my gosh, I’m going to be a grandma,” she wrote in an earlier post. “Oh my goodness!”
The “Baby” singer, 30, and Bieber announced on May 9 that they were expecting their first child. The couple shared sweet images of their vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii, but Hailey’s baby bump protruding from her white lace Saint Laurent dress stole the show.
The model, who wore black sunglasses in some of the photos, gently rested her hands on her growing bump as she stood in the middle of a grassy field.
Justin, meanwhile, looked casual in a white T-shirt, black jeans, a bomber jacket and a backward baseball hat.
Sources told TMZ that Hailey is already in her third trimester, meaning a Bieber baby could be here by late summer.
It also has been reported that the Biebers already have a name picked out that they think is “perfect.”
“They’re also starting to decorate a nursery,” an insider told People. “They can’t wait to meet the baby.”
