Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar used a bizarre story about independent presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to attack former President Donald Trump.
The exchange took place during Thursday’s broadcast of the ABC midday talk show “The View,” after Goldberg brought up the recent revelation that RFK Jr. had once been diagnosed with a parasite in his brain — likely a pork tapeworm larva.

The View’s Whoopi Goldberg had the nerve to make fun of RFK Jr.’s brain worms.
“Now we know the reason for his irrational behavior,” Joy Behar declared of all people. She goes on to suggest that Trump has brian worms too. pic.twitter.com/TKkrdJhCqq— Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) May 9, 2024
Goldberg began by sharing a video of RFK Jr. talking about the parasite — which he said had most likely been contracted while he traveled in India as the result of eating pork that had not been properly prepared.
The clip concluded with Kennedy saying that he had made a full recovery, to which Goldberg replied, “Really?”
“He insists he’s still up for the gig,” the “Sister Act” star continued, noting that Kennedy had leaned into the story on social media. “He even tweeted, and I don’t know why, that he could eat five more worms and still beat You-Know-Who and Biden in a debate.”
“I offer to eat 5 more brain worms and still beat President Trump and President Biden in a debate,” Kennedy posted via X, adding, “I feel confident of the result even with a six-worm handicap.”

“Well, now we know the reason for his irrational behavior,” Behar said of Kennedy. “But what is Trump’s excuse? Does he also have a worm in his brain? We know he suffers from narcolepsy, he’s always falling asleep.”

“It’s crazy,” Goldberg said, turning the topic back to Kennedy. “He had a worm that died in his brain and I guess atrophied and is now part of his brain matter.”
Behar suggested that Kennedy’s “ailments” disqualified him from making fun of the other two major party candidates.
No one at the table suggested that any of Biden’s behavior — from his verbal (and literal) missteps to claims about his uncle being eaten by cannibals — warranted explanation or even questions.
