The Rempire State Building is making his mark on our nation’s capital.
Matt Rempe landed a thunderous hit on Trevor van Riemsdyk against the end boards in the first period of the Rangers’ Game 3 matchup with the Capitals, leveling the Capitals defenseman to the ice and knocking him out for the remainder of the game with what the home team described as an upper-body injury.
Officials called Rempe for interference and sent the Capitals on their third power play of the game so far.
Washington failed to score as the Rangers took a 2-1 lead into the second period.
