Caitlin Clark gushes over boyfriend Connor McCaffery on first anniversary

Caitlin Clark scored a slam dunk with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery.

The pair celebrated their first anniversary on Wednesday and the basketball star shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute for him alongside a snap of them cuddled up on a couch.

“one year of the best mems w my fav person 🖤,” Clark, 22, gushed in the caption. “you make everyday [sic] better and I can’t wait for many more adventures together… love you 🤞🏻😇.”

McCaffery, also a former University of Iowa athlete, later shared a sweet post of his own.

“One year w the best 🫶🏼 doing life w u has been easy, and you never cease to amaze me,” he penned. “can’t wait to watch u live out ur dreams in person 🤞🏼 love you ❤️.”

Along with the touching caption, he posted a snap of them laughing together and a hilarious slow-motion video of Clark’s on-court facial expressions.

“Nice video,” she sarcastically commented under his post.

The couple celebrated their milestone anniversary during an exciting month for Clark.

On April 15, the record-breaking basketball player was the No. 1 overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA draft.

At a post-draft celebration, Clark gushed over McCaffrey on her Instagram Story, calling him her “fave person in the world.”

And although there was a public outcry over her $338,000 salary for her four-year contract with the Fever, she inked a lucrative 8-year deal with Nike making $28 million on Tuesday.

McCaffrey has been by Clark’s side every step of the way over the last year, including when she ended her final season with the Iowa Hawkeyes earlier this month after the team’s heartbreaking Final Four loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks.

After the upset, he took to social media to share a snap of her walking off the court for the final time as a collegiate athlete.

“My GOAT,” he wrote alongside the photo.
